Search warrant in Marathon yields drug arrests

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit, assisted by road patrol deputies, served a search warrant at a Marathon residence Tuesday afternoon, arresting two people on drug related charges.

The warrant was served at 3 p.m., at 212 Lindahl Street in Marathon. Outside detectives encountered 28 year old Kevin Aaron Lewis. Inside, they found 27 year old Bradford Phillips.

A search of the residence turned up 22 pieces of crack cocaine and half of a crack cocaine cookie that had not yet been broken up into pieces. The crack cocaine weighed 10.6 grams. They also found a small amount of marijuana, and $1,000 in cash which was seized because it was suspected to be the proceeds of drug sales.

Phillips was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Lewis was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
