Marathon woman charged with child cruelty
A Marathon woman was charged with child cruelty after she fought with a teenage girl after the two argued.
According to Deputy Joshua Brady, he responded to the home on 24th Street in Marathon at 11:45 p.m. Sunday. After speaking with the suspect, witnesses and the victim, he arrested 37 year old Heather Nason. Nason first argued with the girl; the argument subsequently became physical and Nason allegedly choked the teen during the course of the physical fight.
Nason was charged with battery and child cruelty. She was booked into jail.
