Monroe County Social Services Weatherization Assistance Program is now accepting applications from qualified, low income households to receive free weatherization services to make their homes more energy efficient and reduce energy cost.
Homeowners and renters of single family homes, site built or manufactured, may receive home energy upgrades that include repair or replacement of windows, doors, low flow water fixtures, ceiling insulation and new energy efficient appliances.
Participation in the program is based on income eligibility with priority given to the elderly and disabled.
Apply by visiting your local Monroe County Social Services Office or contact Monroe County Social Services at 305-292-4402. Contractors interested in bidding on weatherization projects should contact 305-292-4405.
