Marathon accident kills one, injures several others

A three vehicle accident near 23rd Street and U.S. 1 last Saturday night closed the highway for an hour and partially obstructed traffic for several hours more.

According to initial dispatch notes, six people were hurt with one of those six being pronounced dead on the scene; one being airlifted from Fishermen’s Hospital to Miami’s Ryder Trauma Center and the other four being transported to the hospital for treatment.
