Five lower units stolen in Key Colony Beach

Five lower units were stolen from two boats in Key Colony Beach last week.

The caretaker of a property on 14th Street said she saw three lower units intact the afternoon of the 18th; on the afternoon of the 19th they were gone. The boat they were attached to was a 35 foot Contender with three 250 horsepower Yamaha engines. The boat was on a lift attached to a dock on the property.

Two more lower units were taken from a vessel kept at a property on Coury Drive in Key Colony Beach. The 250 horsepower Yamaha engines were last seen intact on the vessel on the 17th; They were discovered missing on the afternoon of the 19th. The vessel was kept on a boat lift on the property.

Detectives are investigating.
